Christensen Veterans Committee – Honoring Service, Building Community

Christensen Veterans Committee – Honoring Service, Building Community - Featured Image

Supporting veterans is more than a value at Christensen—it’s a commitment that shapes our community, where veterans feel seen, connected, and valued. Through our Christensen Veterans Committee, we provide consistent support and recognition that extends well beyond our walls.

For Christensen team member and former U.S. Marine, Brian Pitcock, the depth of this commitment became clear during his first Wreaths Across America event.

Seeing every veteran’s grave honored like that…it was incredible.

Meet the Christensen Veterans Committee Leaders

Our Veteran’s Committee is on a mission to foster camaraderie and provide support to those who served, both within Christensen and in the broader community.

  • Ron Huntington, Senior Director of Wholesale Operations, Chair
  • Brian Pitcock, Fleet Card Account Manager, Vice-Chair
  • Michael Schulz, Warehouse Manager, Sergeant-at-Arms
  • Robert Garcia, Director of the Center of Excellence, Admin Officer/Treasurer

Together, these leaders bring dedication and a personal understanding of service to their roles on the committee.

Small Gestures with Big Impacts for Veterans at Work

The Christensen Veterans Committee connects veterans to a shared sense of purpose through small but meaningful gestures of appreciation. Brian recounts how receiving a package from the company—including a veteran’s hat and pin—brightened his day.

It might seem small, but it meant a lot. Wearing my Christensen veteran’s hat has become a great conversation starter and led to some memorable connections with others who served.

IGY6: We’ve Got Your Back

Christensen extends its commitment to veteran support through a partnership with the IGY6 Foundation, which assists veterans facing PTSD and other mental health challenges. “IGY6” is a military term meaning “I’ve got your six”— which means we’ve got your back.

People often don’t see the mental challenges many veterans face. If there’s anything we can do to help, to show they’re not alone, we’re here.

Join Us in Supporting Veterans

For Committee Chair and Marine Corps veteran Ron Huntington, veteran support is more than a responsibility—it’s a family legacy. Ron, whose family has served for generations, brings this deep dedication to his role, rallying resources and building support networks for veterans within Christensen and beyond.

We’d love to see more involvement. Whether it’s joining us at Wreaths Across America, attending other veteran events, or simply connecting with veterans in your community, every effort helps spread awareness and respect for those who served.
